Bio

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Lisa Christensen and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I came to St. Joseph School last March and taught Kindergarten as a leave replacement. I have over 15 years of teaching experience. I have taught 6th grade, Pre-Kindergarten, and I have substitute teaching experience in K through 10th. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education for ages birth - 6th. In addition, I also have a Master of Arts in Literacy and a certification in TESOL: Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to meet you and your child. This is a very special time in your child's life. The skills we practice daily in kindergarten are the

building blocks for your child's future success in school and in life. I

will differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of your child and

provide opportunities for your child to continue to learn and grow.

I’ve wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember so this is

my dream job! I love my job and hope to pass my love for learning on

to my students.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to

contact me. I firmly believe that communication is key when working in

a school. It is extremely important to work together.
